Donno
DHGT founder, Donno started his tattoo career in October of 1998 in Philadelphia, apprenticing under the late Web Blair. Together they built the original Higher Ground Tattoo, on 47th St in West Philly.
Donno moved around, tattooing in Florida and Tennessee before settling in North Carolina, and opening his own shop in 2014. He prefers tattooing traditional American old school style work, but is happy to do just about anything.
Kortney Kinkaid
Kortney has been creating art since she could hold a pencil in her hand thanks to her mom, J'me. On track to medical school the right of her brain took over and she decided to use her creativity instead receiving a specialized business degree in illustration and airbrush. While going to college she got a job working at Hod Rod Piercing Co in Pittsburg, PA and quickly fell in love with body modfication. She has been piercing professionally since 2006. Kortney joined DHGT in April 2015. Along with being an illustrator and photographer she is also DHGT's apprentice.
